Noise Level: 60 dB
Air Quality: ISO 8573.1 Quality Class 1.2.1
The nitrogen generator separates nitrogen and oxygen from compressed air using Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) and produces high-purity nitrogen through Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology.
The nitrogen generator consists of two pressure vessels filled with CMS. Processed compressed air enters the pressure vessels from the bottom of the unit and passes through the CMS bed. Oxygen and other trace gases are adsorbed by the CMS, while nitrogen passes through the CMS bed and is delivered as the output gas.
When the CMS approaches saturation, the system automatically switches according to the preset cycle time, allowing one vessel to enter the regeneration stage, while the other vessel continues the gas separation process.
During regeneration, the saturated CMS releases the adsorbed oxygen through rapid depressurization, venting it to the atmosphere. This adsorption and regeneration process driven by pressure changes is known as Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA).
Nitrogen Generator Operating Conditions
The Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) principle separates gases based on the difference in molecular size. Carbon Molecular Sieve (CMS) adsorbs smaller oxygen molecules within its pores, while the larger nitrogen molecules pass through more slowly and are delivered to the outlet as the product gas.
